Lynn E. Hawkins, Associate
Lynn Hawkins joined Delaney McKinney in 2010, bringing with her extensive litigation experience. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hawkins practiced complex commercial litigation, representing financial institutions in a range of matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Ms. Hawkins also has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation.
Ms. Hawkins has represented clients on a pro bono basis in the areas of adoption, custody, and veterans appeals, and volunteers at the D.C. Family Court Self-Help Center.
Ms. Hawkins earned her J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School in 2004, where she was a Thurgood Marshall Scholar, and graduated from Cornell University, with honors, in 2000. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association (Family Law Section), the Fairfax County Bar Association (Family Law Section), and the American Bar Association.
Ms. Hawkins is admitted to practice in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. She lives in Annandale, Virginia with her husband and two children.
